Smoked salmon & Cream cheese

Smoked salmon and cream cheese are one of classic toppings for bagels, so.. we thought they must work on a toast well! Yep, of course!
A thickly spread cream cheese, smokey salmon, crusty bread…, all in one. Simply, heaven!

Smoked salmon & Poached egg

So far, this is my “Top Toast” in savoury category.
Nothing can beat the combination of a nicely sliced smoked salmon and perfectly cooked poached egg. Oozy egg gets gradually soaked into the toast while salmon dipped in it… Ahagh, awesome!

Crabstick & Mayo

Let’s be honest, crabsticks taste as good as or even better than the real crab, no? Or that’s maybe because I’m a middle-class monkey who doesn’t know the taste of REAL crab…
Dressed up with mayonnaise, the fake crabs become a legendary treat at lunch time.

Smoked salmon & Scrambled egg

As I mentioned on the other post, smoked salmon and poached egg is unbeatable… in my stomach anyway…
However, we should have a backup option for those times when the egg broke or simply you can’t be bothered to make a poached egg.
Yep, we can still have eggs. Just scramble them! Easier, no?

Smoked salmon, Scrambled egg & Rocket

Our easy option for smoked salmon and egg can be done prettier just by adding some fresh green. In terms of nutrition, they look quite well balanced, don’t they?
The contrast of pink, yellow, and green is nice to look at too!

Squid & Chilli sauce

Yes, I know it’s weird…
But, it’s all about experimenting and we can’t just stick to traditional toppings only. I like the chewy texture of a squid. I choose squid and chilli when I have Chinese…
So…, how is it when it comes to put them on toast. Again, weird… try it and tell us what you think.

Crabstick, Mayo & Green

Crabstick and Mayo is good but when you add a little bit of green it gets even better. Casually spread some leafy green and see…? How it becomes colourful, it’s a proper sit-down-toast! You could serve this at the dinner table, cound you not?

Fish finger, Chips & Mushy peas

Ok, some people might say “Do you really need to put them on a toast?!” The answer is… “No”…
We don’t NEED, but we WANT… at the end of the day, we’ve got to have fun.
It is filling, worth a try as an alternative to a Friday fish and chips dinner.

Mackerel & Asparagus

The combination of fish and veg seems nutritious and good for us.
Just by adding some grilled asparagus, the simple toast becomes colourful and more appealing. I can happily eat this as proper meal.

Blued Smoked Salmon

If you’re feeling a bit posh, it’s time to try this one. Yes, of course, smokes salmon are gorgeous as it is, but you’ll see a different side of Mr Salmon, when you cook it every so slightly. Just literally “touch, touch” both side of smoked salmon on a hot pan.
Huum, what an exquisite toast….
