Ginger Conserve

21 Jul

Look at this golden conserve, lovely… yeah, I said “conserve” just to sound posh, but basically it’s a jam. I like the ones that have lots of chunky bits of ginger.
Sweet but fiery ginger is so addictive that I always keep adding more and more … and one more.. till I can’t see the surface of toast.

Peanut butter & Honey

19 Jul

I love peanut butter, especially the crunchy ones. However they sometimes make my mouth dry when I eat a lot at once (maybe I’m just greedy…). So, I was thinking to make it a little more moist. With what… Honey!
It’s smooth and crunchy at the same time, really good!

Cereal & Condensed Milk

7 Jul

Here we go…we’ve put our popular breakfast all in one. No need for a plate or bowl anymore! Pour your favourite cereals on a toast just like you do with a bowl, easy huh? The only down side of it is the combo of cereal and bread can be quite dry, so make sure you drizzle a good amount of condensed milk!

Peanut butter & Banana

4 Jul

We want to call this “Monkey Lunch Toast” because it’s got monkey nut (peanut) butter and banana!
This is what Hairy (our top taster) gets as a treat when he’s worked hard or he just has it anyway…

Cinnamon Sugar

3 Jul

It so easy to make a nice tea time snack with a slice of toast. Sprinkle sugar on a piping hot toast followed by cinnamon, and again just a pinch or two of sugar for luck!
Sugar melts into the hot surface and makes the cinnamon goes into the toast nicely… Now, I know why this is my mum and dad favourite!

Lemon curd & Crystallized ginger

30 Jun

Lemon curd only is fine, but if you want to add a kick of spiciness, add some chunky crystallized ginger. Be prepared to feel sourness, sweetness, spiciness, bitterness… a lot of tastes and flavours are going on on this toast.

Azuki and Butter

25 Jun

This is what we call a fusion toast…
In Japan, azuki beans are use widely in both savouries and desserts. No need to do a bothering bean preparation. You can get a tinned azuki beans, and just heat it up with sugar. The key is to put a good amount of butter thickly underneath and literary pile up the azuki beans.
The combination of azuki and butter is just indescribable…

Lemon curd

22 Jun

When you’re bored with normal jams, why not try lemon curd. It’s a good alternative to jams.
The rich and intense flavour and smooth texture of lemon curd on toast is not only for breakfast but a nice afternoon tea treat too.

Yogurt & Grapes

21 Jun

If the yogurt and blueberry works, yogurt and grapes must work… So, we tried it out. Yes, not only they taste good, but also those grapes cut in half look very pretty on a toast!
Use green, red and black grapes together to get even prettier look!

Whipped Cream

20 Jun

A total whiteout, beautiful…
when I make this, I use a spray cream and literally spray it all over until I get a little creamy mountain on my toast! With every bit, you might think you want to spray bit more and bit more…
