Sweetcorn, cheese & edamame

11 Aug

The pizza influenced “Sweet corn & Cheese” is indeed very tasty, but I have to admit they lack colour…
We need something green and similar shape to corns… Oh, Edamame in the freezer! The crunchiness of these Japanese beans gives a nice kick to the cheesy toast!

Sweet corn& Butter

23 Jul

When you cooked sweet corns with a knob of butter, they tastes sweeter and the flavour get enhanced. So, why not pile them up on a buttered toast for an afternoon snack.
Don’t forget another knob of butter on top too!

Black Beans

26 Jun

Here is one for beans lovers. Having beans, any beans, with sugar is my favourite way. Especially, black beans goes really well with sweetness. It is like between savory and dessert. Pile them up on a buttered toast, and push them slightly so that the mushy bits go into the bread nicely.

Cucumber & Salad cream

23 Jun

There is nothing better than fresh chunky bits of cucumber on a hot summer day. And, I’m a sort of person who put salad cream to anything.
So.., let’s put a drop of my favourite dressing on each piece. Huum lovely… nice presentation! I like that!

Cucumber & Cream cheese

18 Jun

Fresh pieces of cucumber and spread of cream cheese are best friends on a toast. They look pretty, don’t they?
When it comes to cream cheese, go crazy! Cover the bread with cheese thickly so that you can even dig the cucumber’s into it!

Asparagus

5 Jun

This green nutritious veg lays nicely on a slice of toast. Preparation is simple. Just put them on a pan and grill with olive oil or melted butter. Don’t cook too much because it gets soggy, which isn’t that nice… They are rich in many vitamins and other nutritions as well as a good source of fiber. However, when you eat them a lot, your wee will smell… so be careful…

Mushy Peas

3 Jun

It’s very simple. Make a mountain of mushy peas on a toast!
I’m personally not a big fan of peas, but I’m sure this is a heavenly toast. If you want to add some flavour to it, try adding mints and knob of butter. It’ll taste fresh yet rich and creamy.

Sweet corn & Cheese

28 May

Sweet corns and cheese on pizza is one of kids’ favourites, right? Or at least, it was for me. So, we did the same thing but with toast, of course.
Make a little mountain of sweet corns and add a generous amount of cheese. Humm…, this is maybe better than a pizza….

Mushroom

26 May

I used to hate mushrooms when I was a kid because they looked scary. Now, I love them regardless of their shape or size! Saute, grill or fry mushrooms and pile them up on a buttered toast. Simple and easy. I’m totally happy to have it as my dinner!

Red pepper & Asparagus

21 May

We know that grilled vegetables work really well on a buttered toast. Nicely done red pepper and asparagus are not the exceptions. And look at the shiny contrast of red and green.
That just stimulates you appetite!
